Cove on the common: free outdoor Mat Pilates

We're incredibly excited to launch Cove on the Common, a free outdoor mat Pilates series hosted on Lindfield Common across three Sunday mornings this summer.

While this may be a brand-new event for Cove, the idea actually started over a year ago.

One of our teachers, Izzy, first came to us with the concept last year. We loved the idea immediately: creating a space where people could experience Mat Pilates outdoors, connect with their local community and enjoy movement in a simple, accessible way.

Since then, we've been quietly developing the idea, and we're delighted to finally bring it to life.

Join us on the Common

Cove on the Common will take place on:

  • Sunday 21st June

  • Sunday 12th July

  • Sunday 9th August

Each session will be a 45-minute outdoor MMat Pilates class held on Lindfield Common and open to everyone, whether you're a regular at Cove or completely new to Mat Pilates.

To keep the experience intimate and welcoming, there will be just 12 spaces available at each event.

We'll provide our branded Cove Pilates mats, so all you need to bring is water and anything else you may need for a comfortable outdoor class.

Supporting our Pride charity partners

The events are completely free to attend because we believe movement should be accessible and shared.

However, throughout the series we'll be encouraging optional donations to our Pride charity partners, MindOutĀ and Switchboard, two organisations whose work supporting LGBTQIA+ communities is incredibly important to us.

Donation links will be available via this blog post, our event page, in event communications, studio poster, and via QR codes at each session.

A Summer of movement and community

More than anything, Cove on the Common is about community. It's an opportunity to step outside, move your body, meet new people and enjoy everything that summer in Lindfield has to offer.

If the weather doesn't cooperate, we'll simply postpone the class and communicate any changes directly with attendees.

We're so grateful to Izzy for planting the seed for this idea, and we can't wait to see it come to life on the iconic Lindfield Common.

Spaces are limited and can be booked via our website here
