Cove Reformer Studio is proud to announce the partnership with The Haven Pregnancy Counselling Centre in celebration of International Women’s Day 2025.
Cove Reformer Studio will be donating 20% of profits directly to The Haven from all bookings made on Saturday 8th March 2025.
The campaign theme for IWD 2025 is 'Accelerate Action'. At the current rate of progress, it will take until 2158, which is roughly five generations from now, to reach full gender parity, according to data from the World Economic Forum. IWD this year calls for increased momentum and urgency in addressing the systemic barriers and biases that women face, both in personal and professional spheres.
One of the area's of the ‘Accelerating Action’ movement really resonated with the co-founders of Cove Reformer Studio on a personal level; “helping women and girls make informed decisions about their health”.
Cove & The Haven have partnered together to help break taboos and 'Accelerate Action’ by helping women and girls make informed decisions about their health. The Haven was set up 26 years ago in Mid Sussex to support women (and men) who find themselves in the following situations; unplanned pregnancy, a termination, pregnancy loss. The support offered is free, confidential, non-directive and non-judgmental.
It is estimated that 45% of women will have an unplanned pregnancy, 1 in 4 women will suffer a pregnancy loss and 1 in 3 women in this country will have had a termination by the age of 45, based on current rates. (Stats provided by The Haven). As a female founded business, with majority female instructors and a large female customer base, we have a real opportunity to help ‘Accelerate Action‘.
Caroline Kemp, Centre Manager at The Haven says “Many women are affected by each of these issues, and yet there is still so much silence around them and so little understanding and help available for those who are struggling. We hope that, thanks to the generous efforts of Cove, many more local women will discover the support that is available, but also that by highlighting these issues, women will feel empowered to break the silence and begin to share their experiences with one another”
Jodie Cruttenden, co-founder at Cove says “To partner with The Haven means so much to me on a personal level. I have had a termination and struggled with where to turn as there is such shame associated with it. I am so glad I found The Haven as they changed my life. I want women to know that this amazing charity exists and that it is ok, there is help out there”.
Don't forget, Cove are also hosting an IWD themed event at the studio on Saturday 8th March, with classes running from 8am - 2pm and nutritious food being provided by Dosha Health after class for free. The music will also be on point as there is a IWD playlist ready to elevate the event.
Let's Accelerate Action this International Women's Day.
